DISCOVER UNIQUE GEORGIAN INCRIPTIONS & HOMELAND OF THE FIRST EUROPEANS

Let's have a short journey to the ancient Georgia. Visit unique archeological and architectural monuments and try the local wines.

HIGHLIGHTS DURING THE TOUR

Bolnisi Sioni - a basilica built in 478–493. It is the oldest extant church building in Georgia. It is known for its Georgian inscriptions. These are one of the oldest historical documents of the Georgian alphabet.

Lunch & wine tasting in a local winery.

Tsugrugasheni Cathedral (13th century). The interior space is created from four sleeves of the cross of which only eastern sleeve ends with apse. In the construction of the cathedral color stones were used with extreme subtlety: warm yellowish golden, wine and blue color stones. The cathedral is lavishly decorated with rich ornaments.

Dmanisi Museum-Reserve - a unique place featuring stunning discoveries that are rewriting human history and transforming our view of human evolution. Recent finds in Dmanisi represent the oldest evidence of humans discovered outside of Africa, dating back 1.8 million years.

At the end of the day, we’ll drive back to Tbilisi.

* While our itinerary addresses one day adventure, we would be also pleased to organize a multi-day tour for more challenging adventures in the surrounding upon the requests of clients.
